The Most Exciting Big Band Jazz, Swing Jitterbug & Jive Show in the UK!

Following the success of July’s London Palladium performance, the first of its kind in nearly 60 years, unique Debbie Curtis, the UK’s only female professional Big Band leader, has joined forces with world renowned swing group ‘The Jive Aces’ this time at Really Useful’s Her Majesty’s Theatre in London on September 23rd.

The show features The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band, Hobsons Choice Dancers & Re-Enactors, vocalist John Miller (nephew of the great Glenn Miller), dynamic Scottish vocalist Iain Ewing and special guests The Jive Aces.

It was the 1950’s when Ted Heath finally closed at the London Palladium, the sessions were as popular then as today’s resident show ‘The Sound of Music’ Debbie brought the ‘Sunday Night Swing Sessions Home’ and had the audience literally ‘dancing in the aisles’. The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band covers jazz & swing over a number of eras and features 16 of the UK’s top musicians with an age range starting at just 21.

Considered by many to be the best in the UK, the band is certainly the most lively and entertaining. Debbie’s very own troupe, Hobsons Choice, add stunning dance and re-enactment providing a ghostly glimpse into the past, whilst Viv The Spiv adds some humour with his black market suitcase and wicked sales tactics!

The Jive Aces are the UK’s top 6 piece Jive & Swing group. They perform in excess of 300 shows a year, so far in over 25 different countries. They have appeared on hundreds of TV and radio shows and are renowned for their high energy Jump Jive (an exciting blend of Swing, R&B, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Boogie & Jump Blues).

Their spectacular stage show has become their trademark and people of all ages travel to see this lively band.
