Bass man Milt Hinton was born this week June 23rd 1910. Hinton an incredibly successful session man who is listed on over 1100 jazz recordings. In the early days Hinton achieved fame while with Cab Calloway’s big band. In fact years after Cab fired Dizzy Gillespie for throwing spitballs at him while on stage it was Milt Hinton that finally confessed to the transgression. Milt Hinton bass all tracks this set.
