April 22 Bass man Paul Chambers was born this week in 1935 Chambers one of the top bass players between roughly 1955 and 1966. He recorded with Miles Davis, JJ Johnson, Cannonball Adderly Sonny Rollins John Coltrane and was a member of the Wynton Kelly Trio from 1963 to 1966. The first two recordings in this set feature the bass of Paul Chambers heard first with the Wynton Kelly Trio recorded this week in 1959
